Web Accessibility Guidelines

This website complies with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG 2.0).

These guidelines, in terms of web accessibility for people with disabilities, were developed by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the W3C Consortium.

The characteristics of an accessible site are:

  • Transformable: Information and services must be accessible to all and must be usable with all navigation devices.
  • Understandable: Clear and simple contents.
  • Navigable: Simple navigation mechanisms.
  • The Web 2.0 Content Accessibility Guidelines consist of 4 principles, 12 guidelines and 61 compliance criteria:

Principle 1: Perceptibility
Information and user interface components should be presented to users in a way that they can perceive. 4 guidelines and 22 compliance criteria.

Principle 2: Operability
User interface and navigation components must be operable. 4 guidelines and 20 compliance criteria.

Principle 3: Understandability
The information and handling of the user interface must be understandable. 3 guidelines and 17 compliance criteria.

Principle 4: Robustness
Content should be robust enough to be trusted to be interpreted by a wide variety of user agents, including assistive technologies. 1 guideline and 2 compliance criteria.
